Reserve your Summer 2027 pasture-raised chickens from Ashby Hill Farm.
Our Freedom Ranger broiler chickens are raised on a non-GMO, soy-free diet and moved twice daily to fresh pasture. We find Freedom Rangers to be more active and better foragers than the typical Cornish Cross, producing meat with richer flavor and naturally yellow fat.
These chickens take longer to reach processing weight, but we believe the additional time, pasture, and feed are worth it. Our goal is to raise exceptionally flavorful, healthy, nutrient-dense chickens while giving them the best life possible.

Each chicken is estimated to weigh approximately 4 lb after processing. A 50% deposit is due when the preorder is placed. The remaining balance will be calculated using each bird’s actual dressed weight.

Stuart Farmers Market pickup: $6.00 per lb
Roanoke pickup: $6.50 per lb
Mt. Airy, NC pickup: $6.50 per lb
Philadelphia pickup: $7.00 per lb
Amelia Island, FL pickup: $7.00 per lb
The checkout price shown is the deposit per chicken, not the final total. Final dressed weights are expected to range from approximately 3 to 6 lb per bird.
